In June 2023 I rode Race Across America — coast to coast, Oceanside to Annapolis with no stages, the clock never stopping. The first Portuguese rider to finish it solo.
I rode my father's bicycle. He had passed seven years earlier.

The crossing carried a fundraiser for the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in Lisbon: one euro for every kilometre ridden.
We reached €4,800 in donations, which went to laboratory equipment for the Haematology department — microscope lenses and objectives.
